FAQ
Do you sell second-hand paddles?
We only sell new products and paddles.
What is the length of the standard paddle?
Overall Length: 218cm
Extended Length: 227cm
Does the kayak package come with a paddle?
Single seater kayak packages come with a standard single paddle.
Double seater kayak packages come with two standard paddles.
What is the red stretchy strap that came with the kayak package?
This is a 1m security paddle leash that attaches to your paddle and kayak. So in case you drop the paddle in the water, it won't float away from you.
Also, the leash can be used for other accessories too, so in case the item is dropped in the water, you can still retrieve it.
Can I purchase extra paddle leashes?
We do sell the Kayak Paddle Leashes, they can be found here: https://k2f.com.au/s/cg4
Will the paddle float?
When the paddle is clipped together in one piece, it will float. When it is in 2 pieces it will not float.
Why is there a small notch on the side of the paddle blade?
The paddle comes with a small notch on the side that minimizes the water coming onto the kayak as you lift the paddle from the water surface. It makes the water drip away from you and keeps you and the kayak dry.
Can the paddles be offset?
Yes, they can offset at any angle.
What are the drip rings under the paddle blade for?
Drip rings are rubber rings that can attach to either end of your paddle. They are designed to prevent water from running down the shaft of your paddle and onto your hands.
Why is one side of the paddle grip raised?
The raised end of the paddle is to let you know where your blades are facing. If for whatever reason you cannot see your blade while it is in the water, the raised end is facing the same way your blades are. The raised end also helps with paddle feathering.
Why would you need to feather your paddle?
When you’re in windy conditions. When the wind is at your face, feather the paddle and adjust your wrists so the blade that’s out of the water is flat instead of broadside to the wind. You’ll notice less wind resistance.
